Partnering with Well Housed Dalton has been a true blessing for our church and the families we serve. Together, we’ve created safe, welcoming spaces for the children and families that live there —whether through Vacation Bible School, Easter events, cookouts, or shared meals. This collaboration is a beautiful example of what can happen when hearts and hands come together in service. We’re grateful for the shared mission and lasting impact we’re making side by side.

When United Way and Well Housed Dalton come together, real change happens. Through our partnership, United Way of Northwest Georgia has fully renovated two triplex housing units—creating safe, quality, affordable homes for families who need them most. This isn’t just about construction, it is about transformation. It is about showing what is possible when we unite around a common goal. Together, we are preserving housing, restoring hope, and building a stronger, more resilient community one family at a time.

Working with Well Housed Dalton through family literacy and parenting workshops has had a powerful impact on the future teachers who participated in these events as well as the families. While they worked at these events, they became more comfortable working with parents, and they honed their teaching skills. Meanwhile, parents learned how to assist their children at home to help their children become ready to learn literacy and other skills when they entered school…rich community interactions and life-long collaborations can start with a simple introduction and an open heart and an open mind.
